Research Summary

I am interested in outcomes and trauma prevention in elderly individuals. I have additional interest in emergency general surgery including predicting outcomes and finding the most cost effective approaches to care. I am also interested in continuous glucose monitoring and control of blood sugar in critically ill patients.

Extensive Research Description

My current research involves outcomes of the critically ill as well as the less ill emergency surgical patients. This is through both retrospective and prospective local studies as well as participation in national prospective studies. I am in the process of putting together several multi-institutional prospective studies.
