Biography
Research Summary
My work focuses on emotion regulation and emotional support, with particular attention to culture and child development. I am broadly interested in cross-cultural research and the employment of culturally sensitive research methods. My most recent projects involved examining cultural messages for social support conveyed in children’s storybooks, and ways that social support beliefs give rise to culturally variable styles of advice giving.
