Dr Wei Jiang received his PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and BS in Automation from Tsinghua University. His research interests lie in the fields of Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Biostatistics. The main focus is to develop computational and statistical analysis methods for analyzing data from genome-wide association studies. The topics include association mapping, heritability and genetic architecture estimation, and polygenic risk prediction. His papers mainly published in Briefings in AJHG, Bioinformatics, Bioinformatics, PLoS Computational Biology etc., and he received the best paper award in Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Conference (APBC) 2016 held in San Francisco, US.
