Research Summary
My research endeavor contributes to literature on outcomes research, focusing on breast cancer and end-of-life care. I am leading several breast cancer projects, including an evaluation of preoperative breast MRI, development of an individualized decision aid to help radiotherapy decision-making, and assessment of sentinel lymph node biopsy for patients with ductal carcinoma in situ. I am also working on cost-effectiveness analyses of chemotherapy and genetic profiling, which will facilitate value-based practice. Currently, I conduct research examining end-of-life care intensity, such as patterns of end-of-life care transitions and the associations between hospice use and end-of-life expenditures.
