My research focuses on understanding the diversity of single cells in human brain tumors. I adopted high-dimensional single cell mass cytometry to characterize the heterogeneity of protein expression and signaling states of individual glioblastoma cells. This revealed novel proteomics signatures, which defined prognostic glioblastoma cell subsets that correlated with clinical outcomes. My current research goal is to dissect the DNA damage repair mechanisms in human glioma cells, and to understand their adaptation in response to treatment.
