Dr. Fournier is a Board-certified Internist, Dermatologist, and Infectious Disease physician.
Dr. Fournier graduated cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross, where he earned a BA in psychology/pre-med. He received his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Massachusetts. He then completed an internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), followed by dermatology residency at Boston University School of Medicine affiliated hospitals. After three years as an academic dermatologist with a faculty appointment at Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Fournier completed internal medicine residency at North Shore Medical Center. Dr. Fournier also has fellowship training from Yale University/Yale New Haven Hospital, where he became a Board-Certified Infectious Disease Physician. While at Yale University, he also completed a M.S. in Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases.
Dr. Fournier is one of a handful of clinicians in the United States who is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Dermatology, and Infectious Diseases. He is on the editorial board for the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD) Case Reports and is a reviewer for PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases.
