Research Summary
I am investigating the use of confocal endomicroscopy to identify dysplastic, neoplastic and inflammatory tissue in gastrointestinal diseases. Secondary aims include identification and description of cellular architectural changes that can be detected in vivo as early indicators of progression to dysplasia and neoplasia in order to target tissue and direct biopsies for removal or surveillance. Other goals are to identify molecular markers that predict progression to high-grade dysplasia and neoplasia.
