Dr. Gaffey's research addresses the independent and bidirectional roles of psychological stress and sleep in cardiovascular and psychiatric conditions, social determinants modulating those outcomes, and sex differences in biobehavioral risk factors. This work has included both basic and epidemiologic investigations of risk among adults across the lifespan.
