Liane Philpotts, MD, FACR, professor of radiology and biomedical imaging, has been chosen for the American Roentgen Ray Society AJR Silver Reviewer Lifetime Achievement Award for completing over 50 high-quality reviews with an average reviewer score of equal to or greater than 3.5.
She will be honored April 13 at the Journal Luncheon of the AARS Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh. The AARC is the first and oldest radiological society in the United States, founded in 1900 to advance medicine through medical imaging.
Philpotts did her medical and residency training at McGill University. Her interests have focused on breast interventional procedures and outcomes, screening breast ultrasound, and breast tomosynthesis at Yale, one of the first sites in the country to utilize and publish studies on breast tomosynthesis. She also studies applications of AI in breast imaging.
