Cardiacthoracic Imaging at Yale School of Medicine is a joint venture of the departments of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging and Cardiovascular Medicine. We specialize in all aspects of cardiovascular issues in newborns, children and adults. We provide a full range of diagnostic examinations for Yale New-Haven Hospital and its satellite centers, Park Avenue Medical Center, Saint Raphael Campus, and the Shoreline Medical Center.
The thoracic imaging section is an academic division that is dedicated to teaching thoracic imaging to Yale medical students, residents, and clinicians. The department of radiology also hosts visiting students and physicians from other institutions locally, nationally and internationally. The Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship encompasses 6 months of dedicated training in thoracic imaging and 6 months of dedicated training in cardiac imaging. The section takes part in daily clinical-radiologic teaching rounds as well as weekly multidisciplinary conferences.
