Session 1: Fridays, January 11 to March 1, 5:30 to 8:00 pm (classes 1 and 8 extended); Orientation: January 4, 5:30-7:00 pm; Retreat: Sunday February 17, 8:45 am-4:00 pm

Session 2: Mondays, January 28 to March 18, 5:30 to 8:00 pm (classes 1 and 8 extended); Orientation: January 14, 5:30-7:00 pm; Retreat: Sunday March 10, 8:45 am-4:00 pm

Session 3: Fridays March 22 to May 17, 5:30-8:00 pm (classes 1 and 8 extended, skipping April 12; class 4 held on Thursday April 18 as Yale is closed April 19); Orientation March 15, 5:30-7:00 pm; Retreat: Sunday May 5, 8:45 am-4:00 pm

Admission: 8-week course; $460 non-Yale/$300 Yale

Course Description: Learn how mindfulness of the present moment can allow you to deal more effectively with life and its challenges. Appreciate the benefits of responding skillfully rather than reactively to stress. This course includes a mandatory 1.5 hour orientation followed by an eight-week course. The classes are 2.5 hours long except for the first and last. The first class is extended by half an hour and the last class by one hour. There is a full-day retreat on a Sunday from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm. You may contact the instructor at anne.dutton@yale.edu.
