Stress Poster Cognitive

The Yale Stress Center provides opportunities to undergraduate, medical and graduate as well as post-doctoral candidates seeking experience in the clinical research and stress wellness prevention programs on the science of stress and how best to treat, and reduce  stress symptoms to decrease risk and relapse of stress-related disorders.

Training in the clinical science of stress and stress-related disorders as well as in research methods of stress provocation and in novel approaches to stress prevention and treatment are provided.

Training, both didactic and via role play, is available on the Script Development Procedures Manual, for Investigators interested in using the Sinha script procedures manual for stress and reward cue provocation.

Post-doctoral Opportunities

Post-doctoral opportunities for the Yale Stress Center Clinical Research Program are available at various times.

This opportunity provides a comprehensive clinical research experience in developing and testing novel approaches to assessing stress symptoms and risk of stress-related diseases as well treating and preventing stress-related disorders.

Training in the clinical neuroscience of stress, emotions, reward and reinforcement learning, cognitive and emotion regulation and manipulating these processes through specific behavioral and pharmacological strategies is available. In addition, research examining stress mechanisms that mediate social, behavioral and clinical outcomes in stress, anxiety, mood and addictive disorders are being conducted. All candidates work on specific research projects and also have the opportunity to develop an independent research project related to the themes of stress, addictions, health outcomes and behaviors, including testing hypotheses, data analyses, and manuscript development. Weekly team meetings will be held with biostatisticians, research faculty mentors. Finally, training in stress reduction and prevention as well as novel behavioral and therapeutic approaches to treating stress-related diseases is also available.
