Anne Klee, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, has been honored with the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 18 (Psychologists in Public Service) 2019 Outstanding Contributions in Psychosocial Rehabilitation Award.
The award, presented by the Veterans Affairs Section of APA Division 18, is given to a person who has demonstrated widespread influence in treatment, research, or advocacy for people with serious mental illness. It recognizes accomplishments such as advances in community-based programs, evidence-based treatments, and destigmatization.
Klee completed predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships at Yale School of Medicine and for the past 15 years has worked at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven. She develops quality, recovery-oriented programs for people with serious mental illness and trains and supports the work of peer specialists.
She is an Associate Editor for the journal Psychological Services and a representative on the Council of the American Psychological Association. She has been president of the Connecticut Psychological Association since 2017 and is a member of the Connecticut State Innovation Model Practice Transformation Taskforce.
