Jaclyn Portanova, PhD, MSG, RN, earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from University of California, Los Angeles, and her master’s degree in gerontology from University of Southern California. She pursued doctoral training at University of Washington, where she earned her PhD in nursing science. While at University of Washington, she received aging and informatics training as a National Institute of Nursing Research T32 Pre-doctoral research fellow. Her clinical experiences include working as a registered nurse in geriatrics and public health. Jaclyn's dissertation focused on designing tools to improve pain and symptom management for patients who had mild Traumatic Brain Injuries.
