Biography

I have Bachelor degrees in History and Literature from American University, a Master's degree in Social Work from Portland State University, and recently completed a second Master's degree in Public Anthropology at American University.  My Anthropology Master's thesis was titled: " Torture Inside: Racial Punishment and the COVID-19 Tragedy at ICA-Farmville"  It is a solidarity project with the Virginia activist group Free Them All Virginia documenting the 2020 COVID outbreak at ICA-Farmville from the perspective of the migrants.  I hold an LCSW-C license in Maryland and am a board approved clinical social work supervisor and hold an LCSW license in CT.  I have 18 years' experience in social work in the areas of domestic and sexual violence, homeless services, and criminal public defense.  I was privileged to work for a decade with teenagers living in foster care in Baltimore City.  I am currently a clinician in the Yale School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry Juvenile Justice Mental Health Program at the Harford CPA site.  I am a volunteer in Pit Bull dog rescue and farm animal rescue.
