Dr. Christina Cipriano, Assistant Professor at the Child Study Center at the Yale School of Medicine and Director of Research at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, was appointed to serve as a member of the Global Center for Inclusion in Education Research Collaborative! The Collaborative is a critical new initiative of the Special Olympics’ Global Center of Inclusion in Education that brings together diverse scholars and athletes to further an inclusive research agenda. The Collaborative aspires to build on the robust evidence emerging from research to build Special Olympics’ knowledge base for understanding the transformative power that high-quality inclusive sport and education programming can have on the lives of youth with and without intellectual disabilities. The Special Olympics’ Global Center of Inclusion in Education invites extraordinary researchers and athletes to join and contribute powerful new evidence from many fields, including disability, sport, education, inclusion, health, sport for development, conflict resolution, and peace to the initiative. The Collaborative seeks to learn and build from Dr. Cipriano's expertise in inclusive and equitable social and emotional learning to drive their global research agenda and conversation.
