Paul Dalio

2018 Honoree

Paul Dalio

Paul Dalio is a New York-based writer, director, and composer whose debut film, "Touched with Fire" (2016), was inspired by his struggle to overcome bipolar disorder. Mr. Dalio wrote, directed, scored, and edited the film, which was executive produced by Spike Lee, Mr. Dalio's mentor and college professor. The film won numerous awards and was honored by the national Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration at its annual Voice Awards. Mr. Dalio grew up in Connecticut and studied at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He and his wife, fellow film director Kristina Nikolova, collaborate on projects under the banner Moonstruck Productions.

The symposium is held in Harkness Auditorium, Sterling Hall of Medicine (SHM), 333 Cedar St, Med. School campus, New Haven, CT. From parking lots, go up York St. towards Yale-New Haven Hospital; turn left onto Cedar St; SHM is one-half block on the left.
