Potenza to receive honorary professorship from Eotvos Lorand University

Marc Potenza, MD, PhD, Professor of Psychiatry, in the Child Study Center and of Neuroscience, will receive an honorary professorship from Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest in May.

The professorship, Doctor et Professor Honoris Causa, will be bestowed on Potenza at a ceremony of the University Senate on May 10.

Potenza is an expert in addiction psychiatry and is Director of the Problem Gambling Clinic at Yale School of Medicine, the Center of Excellence in Gambling Research, and the Women and Addictive Disorders Core of Women's Health Research at Yale. He is also Senior Scientist at the Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling. He has consulted internationally and nationally on matters of addiction, including to the World Health Organization and National Institutes of Health.

Eotvos Lorand University is a Hungarian public research university based in Budapest. It was founded in 1635 and enrolls approximately 28,000 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.
