Dwyer receives New Investigator Award to attend ASCP annual meeting

April 26, 2019

Jennifer Dwyer, MD, PhD, Clinical Fellow in the Child Study Center, has been selected to receive a New Investigator Award from the American Society for Clinical Psychopharmacology (ASCP) to attend its annual meeting in May in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Dwyer will give the talk, “Combatting Adolescent Depression and Suicide: Pharmacotherapy With Brain Development in Mind” as part of the symposium, “Treatment-resistant Mood Disorders Across the Lifespan: Novel Therapeutics on the Horizon.”

The New Investigator Award exposes awardees to opportunities available to clinical researchers, introduces them to potential senior investigators from other institutions, and facilitates the establishment of a national peer group for award recipients.

Dwyer will be honored at an awards ceremony at the meeting and will have networking opportunities to meet senior investigators.

She is a 2018 graduate of the Yale Psychiatry Residency Program.
