Tampi named Outstanding Academician of the Year by Indo-American Psychiatric Association

Rajesh Tampi, MBBS, DFAPA, MS, Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, has been chosen to receive the Indo-American Psychiatric Association (IAPA) Outstanding Academician of the Year Award for 2019.

The award will be presented May 19 at the IAPA annual banquet dinner in San Francisco. Tampi will present during the Educational and Scientific session at the meeting.

IAPA promotes educational and scientific activities and provides a networking platform for its members. It also promotes the awareness of mental health illness in people and families of Indian origin.

Tampi is Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, Ohio. He is also a Professor of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
