Yu chosen to receive 2018 YSM Power Day Resident Award

November 20, 2018

Benjamin Yu, MD, a second-year resident in the Yale Department of Psychiatry, has been chosen to receive the 2018 Yale School of Medicine Power Day Resident Award.

The award is given to trainees who model the responsible, positive, and beneficial use of power in healthcare relationships and who serve as true role models for the medical student community. Nominations are by students in the third-year medical class.

Yu will be honored at the annual Power Day Award Ceremony on Nov. 30 at the West Campus Grace Hopper Auditorium.

Last year’s Power Day Resident Award recipient was Emeric Bojarski, MD, also a resident in the Yale Department of Psychiatry.

Yu earned his MD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017 and his BA from Northwestern University in 2012. He is co-president of the Yale Psychiatry Residents’ Association, which serves as a liaison between residents and faculty, and helps to cultivate an educational and fun working environment for trainees.
