The Forget-Me-Not Family Ensemble entertains at Yale Psychiatric Hospital

December 06, 2016

The Forget-Me-Not Family Ensemble, consisting of Christine and Ben Lee, MD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale, and their children, Noah and Rebecca, entertained patients and staff at the Yale Psychiatric Hospital on December 7.

The ensemble has performed at hospitals, assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation centers in Connecticut and Maryland since 2011. More than 75 people attended the concert at YPH, and they were treated to a program that included Elgar, Bach, and Donuady. Noah Lee played the violin and piano, and Rebecca Lee joined in on violin. The 10-year-old also sang a stirring rendition of "I Dreamed the Dream" from "Les Miserables."

The ensemble was joined by guest musicians from the "In Music We Trust" group at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford. The concert concluded with the playing and singing of "Silent Night." Dr. Lee, who introduced each musical selection, invited the audience to join in song.
