John H. Krystal, MD, Robert L. McNeil, Jr. Professor of Translational Research and Chair of the Yale Department of Psychiatry, has assumed the presidency of the International College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP).
Krystal was named the organization's president at the 30th CINP World Congress, held July 3-5 in Seoul, Korea.
The CINP was the first organization focused on bringing the insights from basic neuroscience into the field of psychiatry. It also remains the only organization with this mission with a global focus.
Krystal will remain president of CINP through its next World Congress, which will be held in Vienna in 2018.
