The results of a national Match were announced for psychology internships on February 23. Through this process the Department’s Doctoral Internship in Clinical and Community Psychology selected its incoming class of 16 Fellows who will spend a year training at Yale from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. These trainees were selected from among large pool of qualified applicants.
"We had an incredible pool of highly qualified applicants" said Dr. Jacob Tebes, the department’s Acting Director of Psychology Training. "Our program is among the most competitive nationally as demonstrated by the match results."
Dr. Rajita Sinha, Chief of Psychology for the department, commented that, "There are over 80 psychologists involved in this training program and their efforts have yielded an exceptional internship that draws the best graduate students from across the country.
Psychology Fellows apply to one of eleven training rotations based at the Connecticut Mental Health Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital. Students typically complete this clinically oriented internship as the final year of a five-year program of graduate study, which leads to a PhD or PsyD.
