For the second consecutive year, the Yale Department of Psychiatry Residency Program has ranked second nationally in research and third in reputation in Doximity’s 2021-22 Residency Navigator program, released July 20.

The Residency Navigator is a comprehensive directory of residency programs in the United States created by Doximity, an online networking service for medical professionals.

The Yale Psychiatry Residency Program has consistently ranked among the top U.S. residency programs in the poll, with results determined by peer nominations, ratings, and hand-written reviews.

Earlier this year, Yale School of Medicine ranked #1 for psychiatry programs in the 2022 U.S. News Best Graduate Schools rankings. The Yale Department of Psychiatry also topped all U.S. medical schools in grant funding for psychiatric research from the National Institutes of Health, according to the recent Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research survey.
