2020 Connecticut Psychiatric Society Executive Council includes Five Yale Psychiatry Faculty

Five Yale Psychiatry faculty members will serve on the 2020-21 Executive Council of the Connecticut Psychiatric Society.

Tobias Wasser, MD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, is President-Elect. Ayana Jordan, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, will serve as Treasurer, and Paul Bryant, MD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, will be one of two Councilors-at-Large.

Continuing their service on the board are Tichianaa Armah, MD, Assistant Clinical Professor, and Reena Kapoor, MD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry. Armah will serve as a Councilor-at-Large with Bryant, and Kapoor will remain a Representative to the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Assembly.

CPS is a district branch of the APA and has nearly 750 members. It advocates for patients and those who care for them, promotes and disseminates professional values, supports education and career advancement, and strengthens the scientific basis of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.
