Harkness, Cole Elected to Governing Board Of The Towers at Tower Lane

Laurie Harkness, PhD, CPRP, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, and Robert Cole, MHSA, Lecturer in Psychiatry and Chief Operating Officer of the Connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC), were recently elected to the governing board of The Towers at Tower Lane, formerly known as Tower One-Tower East, in New Haven.

Established in 1971, The Towers is a vibrant urban community whose mission is to provide high quality, flexible living arrangements for older adults on a campus adjacent to downtown New Haven as well as the Yale Medical Center.

As a non-profit entity, The Towers is able to stay focused on best practices, community engagement and integration, and spiritual and cultural enrichment. It adheres to the highest standards of care with no requirement to produce a return on investment for shareholders.

Harkness directs the Errera Community Care Center and the Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Firm of the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven. She is also the co-director of the Psychosocial Interdisciplinary Fellowship Program for the VA Connecticut Healthcare System.

Cole serves on the boards of the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center, Continuum of Care and the CMHC Foundation.
