Each year, The Consultation Center honors exemplary local leaders who have demonstrated hard work, dedication, and a deep commitment to building a stronger community. The Consultation Center presented awards on October 11, 2019 for outstanding contributions that support its mission to promote health and wellness, prevent mental health and substance abuse problems, and enhance equity and social justice.
The Award for Individual Excellence was presented to State Rep. Toni E. Walker in recognition of her outstanding and sustained leadership and advocacy to improve the lives of Connecticut youth.
The Award for Organizational Excellence was presented to Fellowship Place and its Executive Director, Mary Guerrera, in recognition of their longstanding commitment to creating a sustained community of acceptance, affirmation, and support for individuals in recovery from a mental illness
The ceremony was held at The Consultation Center.
