Resnick new editor of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal

Sandra G. Resnick, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Deputy Director at the VA Northeast Program Evaluation Center, is the new editor of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal.

The journal is a quarterly publication of the American Psychological Association. According to its website, it publishes peer-reviewed scholarly work that "advances the evidence for and understanding of psychosocial treatment and recovery of people with psychiatric disabilities, consistent with the principles and values of psychiatric rehabilitation and person-centered care." The journal is in its 40th year of publication.

Resnick oversees the program evaluation of Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) vocational rehabilitation programs and has a leadership role in the national Measurement Based Care Initiative. She previously lead the Office of Mental Health Operations Strong Practices Project to recognize, share, and foster mental health innovation across VHA. She collaborates with other investigators on research on supported employment and peer support in VHA.

She is on the faculty of the Yale Department of Psychiatry's Psychology Section, and is actively involved in psychology and psychiatry training at Yale and the VA Connecticut Healthcare System.
