Two Yale addiction psychiatry fellows receive travel awards to attend AAAP conference

December 11, 2016

Two members of the Yale Department of Psychiatry’s Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship received travel awards to attend the 27th annual meeting of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP).

Hector Colon-Rivera, MD, and Robert Feeley, MD, were among a large contingent of Yale representatives to attend the meeting, held December 8-11 in Bonita Springs, Fla.

AAAP sponsors travel awards for medical students, residents, and fellows who want to continue their careers in the field of addiction psychiatry.

The conferences and workshops at the annual meeting help attendees recognize emerging issues and trends in addiction psychiatry and be on the forefront of diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental disorders.

Several Yale representatives attended the annual meeting. A reunion of past and current Yale faculty and fellows is held each year.
