Be Unapologetically Impatient

A Fireside Chat with Author Chris Cipriano, PhD, & Yale Child Study Center Chair Linda Mayes, MD

All in the Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) community—and beyond—are welcome to join this special event to mark the launch of a new book written by YCSC Associate Professor Chris Cipriano, PhD, titled Be Unapologetically Impatient: The Mindset Required to Change the Way We Do Things.

The event will take place in the Cohen Auditorium, kicked off with a brief "fireside chat” about the book between the author and YCSC Chair Linda Mayes, MD. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

About the Book

Be Unapologetically Impatient teaches everyone - educators, parents, doctors, executives, and the students, families, patients, and customers they serve - that being unapologetically impatient, the activation of intrinsic motivation, emotional intelligence, and gratitude, is the mindset required to change the way we do things. Drawing from deeply relatable experiences embedded in everyday living and anchored in her family’s journey to a diagnosis for her eldest son’s rare disease, Cipriano weaves infectious storytelling with applied developmental, educational and social psychological science to provide everyone with the skills to change the way we do things, right now. An instant #1 New Release in Applied Popular Psychology, Cipriano believes that #BeUnapologeticallyImpatient is the mindset required to change the way we do things.
