Why I Chose Yale
When I was applying to psychiatry residencies, I remember looking for a training program that would offer me a wide breadth of clinical experiences, that would be able to be adapted to focus on particular areas of interest to me, and that would provide the opportunity to be a part of a community of diverse, engaging, fun and supportive co-residents and faculty. I quickly realized on my interview day that that was exactly what Yale's residency training program offered. Over the course of my training, the residency program truly lived up to these expectations. When the opportunity to stick around as faculty after graduation presented itself, it was an easy decision. I've been thrilled with my experience as a young faculty member so far, have felt incredibly supported by my mentors and colleagues, and have been honored to be able to continue to work with our stellar residents and medical students in my new role.
What I'm Working on Now
I'm currently the attending psychiatrist and provide medical oversight of Yale Health's Intensive Outpatient Program, and am the director of site training for residents rotating at Yale New Haven Hospital clinical sites. In my role at the IOP, I've particularly enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of the IOP's DBT consultation team and psychology training program, as well as to collaborate with IOP clinicians and providers in new program development.
