Assistant or Associate Professor - Director of Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program (DBT)
The Department of Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine seeks a licensed clinical psychologist to provide expert clinical services as a Director of the adult Dialectial Behavioral Therapy Program of Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital.
This position includes the leadership and oversight of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy programming in the Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient settings as well as provision of direct clinical care (individual and group therapy) to patients, and supervision to advanced doctoral psychology interns and practicum students.
The position carries a faculty appointment within the Department of Psychiatry at either the assistant professor or associate professor level. It also includes participation in the Department’s APA-accredited Doctoral Psychology Internship Program.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional knowledge and skills in conducting individual and group Dialectical Behavior Therapy. They should have expertise in treating individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder and experience providing clinical supervision to doctoral level interns. Experience in leadership roles, teaching and collaboration in clinical research are additional assets for this role.
Candidates must be licensed (or license eligible) within the State of Connecticut, be legally employable, and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to function well as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses.
