Biography

Ziv is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Levy Decision Neuroscience Lab and the Harpaz-Rotem Post Traumatic Stress Lab at Yale University School of Medicine. He received his B.Sc. in Biology, Psychology & Neuroscience (Summa Cum Laude) in 2015, from the Sagol School of Neuroscience at Tel-Aviv University. Ziv completed an Interdisciplinary Direct Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the Sagol Brain Institute, Tel-Aviv University and Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. His doctoral research, under the supervision of Prof. Talma Hendler, focused on uncovering neural and cognitive moderators underlying Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptom trajectories. During his postdoc at Yale, he aims to further elucidate the neural mechanisms underlying anxiety- and stress-related disorders, in order to advance mechanisms-based personalized treatments and improve the life quality of individuals suffering from these debilitating disorders.
