Biography


As Community Faculty (Clinical Instructor of Social Work) at Yale Child Study Center, Yvette serves as an instructor to educate social work fellows on the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and offer practical approaches to ethical decision making in clinical social work. She was an Advanced Clinical Social Work Fellow in the Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service program at Yale Child Study Center from 2017-2018. Yvette has an extensive clinical background in serving individuals managing mental health, substance use, and cooccurring disorders. With a passion for enhancing the social work profession and serving as a member of Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), Yvette leads the Social Work Fellowship Accreditation Task Force and serves as the principal writer for accreditation. In her role as Social Worker-Program Coordinator at US Department of Veteran Affairs, Yvette provides short term treatment for veterans who have mental health and substance use challenges and manages the program with a multidisciplinary team. Yvette is an active member of NASW/CT Chapter where she serves on the Reviewer’s Committee and Chair of the Ethics Committee.
