Dr. Gunasekharan hails from a Biotechnology background and has always had a special affinity towards drug discovery. He did his doctoral studies in molecular oncology investigating the transcriptional regulation of a novel breast metastatic gene, Ran. During his post-doctoral research, he led several viral oncology projects that involved target discovery using high throughput assays, target validation, and mechanistic pathway elucidation. Currently, he leads some multi-collaborative projects that aim to identify cancer-specific targets in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). He intends to apply his skills and experience to develop novel targeted therapeutic agents.
