Biography
Troy moved to Connecticut in the Summer of 2013 after spending 13 years in Minnesota healthcare. While in the Midwest, Troy held operational roles in cardiology, revenue cycle and outpatient clinical care at several large healthcare systems in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Troy began his career at Yale as the practice manager for the Section of Digestive Disease in the Department of Internal Medicine. While in Digestive Disease, Troy worked closely with section leadership to develop the Yale Metabolic Health and Weight Loss program, and orchestrated new workflows which ultimately improved patient, physician/provider satisfaction, and patient throughput.
In 2014, Troy accepted the director role of the Yale Clinical Optimization Services team where he partnered with Dr. Babar Khokhar (Associate Dean for Clinical Transformation; Associate Professor of Neurology & Chief Clinical Transformation Officer, YMA; Chief Ambulatory Medical Officer, Yale Medicine and Yale New Haven Health and Marie Follo (Senior Director of Ambulatory Services; Yale Medicine) in building the new YCOS team. To date, the YCOS team includes 11 staff and has completed over 60 assessments. In addition to the local team, YCOS has built a Spring practicum for Yale Public Health graduate students, and a Summer internship. As of June, 2021, a total of 39 students have successfully completed the YCOS Spring/Summer programs.
