Tina Loarte-Rodriguez

Tina Loarte-Rodriguez’s professional experience includes teaching middle school math and over sixteen years in health care in settings such as perioperative and primary care nursing, performance improvement, infection control, risk management, and patient safety. While the Vice President of Nursing at Wheeler Health, a FQHC in central CT, Tina was a Hartford Business Journal Healthcare Hero Award winner and led the Wheeler nursing team to win the CT Nursing Association Excellence in Team Award. An eternal learner with a passion for innovation and health equity, she is committed to ensuring every person has the opportunities to live an enriching life. Tina is a graduate from Cornell University and UCONN, and also earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Quinnipiac University. She is also certified in infection prevention and control, patient safety, and healthcare risk management.
