Biography
Susan Garwood is the Interim Division Chief of Cardiac Anesthesia and the Director of Intraoperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Garwood received her medical degree from Edinburgh University in 1986. Following an Internship at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, Dr Garwood spent a year at King’s College, London as an Anatomy Demonstrator and Emergency Medicine Resident and then completed an Anesthesia Residency at Oxford University, England. Subsequently, Dr. Garwood joined the Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at the Yale University School of Medicine and was invited to join the Yale Anesthesia Faculty as as a member of the Cardiac Division.
