Biography
Sara McElroy is currently an Epidemiologist at University of California, San Francisco/ California Department of Public Health at the Tuberculosis Control Branch. She previously was an ORISE Fellow at the Climate and Health Program within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she researched climate hazards and health. She recently received her Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego, in Epidemiology. Her work through her Ph.D. focused on environmental epidemiology, more specifically, extreme heat, air pollution, wildfires, and adverse child health and birth outcomes.
