Biography

Dr. Rahmatullah Rahmati received his medical degree from the University of Sydney School of Medicine. He completed Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery residency at the New York - Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia and Cornell program, and a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the Memorial Sloan - Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Rahmati earned his Masters of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. He spent 7 years at Columbia University Medical Center, where he served as the Assistant Director of Head and Neck Surgery, Director of Sleep Surgery and Medical Director of the Adult ENT Clinic at the New York - Presbyterian Hospital/ Vanderbilt Clinic. Most recently, he was the Columbia Site Director for the Residency Program. Dr. Rahmati was awarded the Shain Schley Resident Teaching Award and Maxwell Abramson Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching and Service.

Dr. Rahmati is a diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology. He specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, minimally invasive salivary gland surgery, sleep surgery and skull base surgery. His research interests include head and neck cancer, salivary gland disorders and obstructive sleep apnea.
