I’m a postdoc associate at Cardiology, Internal Medicine as well as Department of Genetics. With the preliminary works from physicians and scientists across the world, I am now studying on a gene that causes impaired regulation of plasma insulin if it is mutated in humans. This circulating enzyme reduces platelet hyperactivation, triggers both insulin secretion and degradation, and increases insulin sensitivity. The potential to exploit disease pathways could provide a target for treating diabetes and its complications.
