Biography
Kelly McGinnis Hager MD MPH is from Hereford, Arizona - a small, rural border town nestled in the Huachuca Mountains. Prior to medical school, she completed a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Health Policy and Community Health Practice, and designed infection control curricula and advocacy/education programs. She graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Yale. As a fellow in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, she enjoys teaching medical students/resident physicians and remains active in health policy, with continued interest in hospital infection control, patient/healthcare worker safety, toxicology and the connection between environmental exposures and autoimmune disease. Current research endeavors include exploring challenges faced by those returning to work following COVID infection and monitoring COVID antibody levels following vaccination. Outside of medicine, she enjoys baking, mailing letters using old stamps, and hunting for New England’s finest maple donut.
