Biography

Dr. Fehon is a Clinical Health Psychologist who earned her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology - San Diego. She has worked in private, community, and hospital-based practice settings and has expertise in the areas of psycho-oncology, cardiovascular psychology, gastrointestinal (GI) psychology, and pain psychology. Dr. Fehon has a private practice in Guilford, CT and works with a variety of clients to help navigate, understand, and resolve experiences of distress, relational challenges, life transitions, and health difficulties. She utilizes an integrative approach incorporating cognitive-behavioral, acceptance-based, and psychoanalytic relational frameworks, while drawing upon training in mind-body modalities including mindfulness, yoga, health promotion, lifestyle medicine, and clinical hypnotherapy. She has long-standing personal and professional interests in the philosophy and practice of yoga for health and well-being and is a certified Yoga Instructor, with advanced training in teaching Yoga for Cancer patients. She completed her doctoral research on the effects of yoga for fibromyalgia syndrome patients at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego.

Dr. Fehon serves as a clinical supervisor within the Department of Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital. She is also a research clinician within Yale’s Department of Digestive Diseases, on a randomized control trial utilizing a mind-body CBT approach to improve physical symptoms, mood, and quality of life for patients with inflammatory bowel disease/gut-brain interaction disorders. Dr. Fehon also provides consultation to medical practices seeking to incorporate behavioral medicine into patient care.
