Biography

Christopher Traner, MD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Yale School of Medicine after completing his residency in Neurology and fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at the Yale School of Medicine as well. He graduated from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in 2016 with his MD degree and a keen interest in education and focus on improving the clinical care of patient's. Originally from Cleveland, OH area his interest in Epilepsy started in high school after doing a summer internship in the lab of Dr. Imad Najm, MD at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Academically, he is interested in medical education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and serves as the Associate Fellowship Program Director for Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology. He is interested in understanding the best clinical use for currently available anti-seizure medications (ASMs), treating adolescent and adult patient's with epilepsy, and working to help discover new and better treatments for all patients with epilepsy. His ultimate career goal would be to be a Residency Program director in order to inspire the next generation of Neurologists to provide excellent clinical care to all patients with both acute and chronic neurologic disorders.
