Biography
Arit is a current resident at Yale-Waterbury Internal Medicine residency program. She obtained her medical degree from College of Medical Sciences, University of Calabar, Nigeria. After graduation, she practiced in a rural setting quite different from the city where she was trained.. It fueled her passion for public health , and she went on to pursue an MPH in Global Health from New York Medical College. Prior to starting residency, she worked at Yale University AIDS program where she worked with a multidisciplinary team to assist persons living with HIV optimize their care through the Ryan White program. She worked on multiple quality improvement program and data management. She brings a variety of experience to YWIMRP where she decided to re-embark on her clinical journey in medicine.
She is interested in pursuing further specialization in Geriatrics/Palliative care after her year as a Chief resident in the program,
When Arit is not at work, she can be found spending time with family, gardening, cycling, cooking, or reading a good novel.
