Katie Nash, MD is a pediatric chief resident at the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Nash received her undergraduate degree in History and Urban Geography at Dartmouth College and her Doctor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed pediatrics training at the Boston Combined Residency Program. Dr. Nash's early career has included work in developing and implementing health equity focused medical education curricula.
Career Interests: Dr. Nash plans to pursue a career that combines equity oriented hospital administration and health policy with a clinical career in hospital pediatrics. She hopes to develop, implement and evaluate health equity and population based health initiatives in the hospital setting.
Research Interests: Research interests include policy and systems level research: developing and evaluating equity-oriented quality measures and evaluating the impact of quality reporting on systems change, physician behavior and health equity; as well as medical education related research: evaluating the impact of racial justice education and implicit bias training on physician behavior, developing, implementing and evaluating programs to improve the physician pipeline for underrepresented minorities in medicine.
