Elliott Miller, MD, is a cardiology fellow at the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Miller received his undergraduate degree in Biology with minors in Anthropology and Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his Doctor of Medicine at Georgetown University. He completed Internal Medicine training in the Osler Medical Service at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Miller’s early career has included work within multiple topics in cardiology, but his most notable research has focused around cardiac critical care.
Career Interests: Dr. Miller plans to pursue an academic career in cardiovascular medicine with a goal of being a leader in cardiac critical care, and clinically to be a director of a cardiac intensive care unit.
Research Interests: Research interests include cardiovascular outcomes of patients admitted to the intensive care unit, interactions between mechanical ventilation and cardiovascular disease, and the organizational structure and delivery of care in the modern cardiac intensive care unit.
