Dr. Hernandez completed her MD/PhD at Yale University in 2016. She completed her PhD in David Hafler's laboratory in the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program. Her dissertation focused on understanding the role of dietary salt in immune dysregulation in addition to uncovering how cellular exhaustion shapes the immune response to glioblastoma multiforme. She is currently a resident in the Yale Investigative Neurology Program. Her clinical interests include neuro-oncology, neuro-inflammation, and autoimmune diseases. Her research interests include immune regulation, immune oncology, environmental and dietary factors, and pro-inflammatory etiologies.
