Area doctor elected to Institute of Medicine

Children's Medical Center Dallas' chief of pediatrics was elected to the Institute of Medicine. Dr. George Lister, who also is chairman of the pediatrics department at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, was one of 65 medical researchers elected to the institute this year. Membership of the institute is one of the country's highest honors for medical researchers. Its members are elected based on their professional achievement and commitment to serve.
